Our belief at ISHCMC is that play-based learning is the most effective method for our youngest learners. By creating an ideal learning environment with engaging physical experiences, students at Early Explorers (EE2 – EE4) level are empowered to interact with their surroundings and each other, fostering engagement and empowerment such as problem-solving, math, and writing skills.
The Primary Years Programme (Kindergarten to Grade 5) offers an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum framework that builds conceptual understanding. It is a student-centered approach that nurtures and develops young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning. It reflects the best of educational research, thought leadership, and experience derived from IB World Schools.
At ISHCMC, we believe that our youngest learners learn best through play. We feel that allowing students to touch, smell, hear and interact with the natural environment and other people helps to lay down the cognitive wiring that will eventually lead to our students to hold a pencil, climb a tree, reason through a math problem and problem solve.
