International School HCMC: Global University Fair

International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) is set to host one of the largest Global University Fairs in Vietnam this month. In partnership with Saigon South International School (SSIS), the event will feature representatives from over 150 universities worldwide. The fair was extended over 2 days, to ensure more students across the city had the opportunity to attend. 

Students studying in Vietnam will have the unique opportunity to connect with top institutions from around the globe and learn about their programs. The fair is open to students from various schools in the city, including the Australian International School, ABC International School, British International School HCMC, the British Vietnamese International School HCMC, Canadian International School, European International School, EMASI, Laurence S Ting School, Renaissance International School, and ISHCMC American Academy.

Global leaders

The Global University Fair will feature 23 of the world’s top QS-ranked universities, including The University of Melbourne, University of Toronto, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and Durham University.

For students interested in specialized fields, the fair will showcase institutions renowned for their programs in the arts, such as The New School, Savannah College of Art and Design, and California College of the Arts, and in business, such as EU Business School, Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB), and ESSEC Business School.

Students from Ho Chi Minh City will have the opportunity to connect with over 70 U.S. universities, 20 UK universities, 20 Canadian universities, 6 from Australia and New Zealand, and 10 from Europe, along with 15+ universities in Asia. This diverse range of institutions will allow students to learn about the varying university application processes worldwide and how to tailor their applications to their desired country and field of study.

Students will gain insights into subject choices, admission requirements, and opportunities to enhance their applications through co-curricular activities and service opportunities. 

Future Pathways at ISHCMC

The Global University Fair falls during ISHCMC’s Future Pathways Week, organized by the School’s three School future pathways Counselors. The week will consist of a number of intriguing and inspiring opportunities for ISHCMC students. ISHCMC Secondary teachers will be sharing their own personal pathways to undergraduate study, giving students a chance to learn from real-life experiences. The school’s counselors support students every step of the way, from organizing workshops to giving advice and guidance with applications. ISHCMC counselors go above and beyond to support students in finding their best-fit universities. ISHCMC students have received offers from the top universities and institutions across the globe, including Harvard University, Brown, Yale, Imperial College London and the University of Oxford. 

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), alongside a vast range of co curricular and service opportunities, set ISHCMC students up for unprecedented opportunities around the world, thanks to the support of their experienced teachers and counselors.
