The World Youth Investment Conference reached thousands of students worldwide from 52 different schools
The World Youth Investment Conference (WYIC) is the first-ever year-round investment competition for high school students, established in October 2023 by a group of students from the International School Ho Chi Minh City.
It has now reached thousands of students worldwide from 52 different schools competing for a grand prize of $5,000.
During their sophomore year, the two founders, Nam Trinh and Henry (Hank) Arditti noticed the lack of financial competitions available for international students worldwide. In response, they established the World Youth Investment Conference to provide opportunities for high school students to showcase their investment skills, connect with like-minded peers, and apply what they learned in a real-world context.
We realized there was a gap in financial literacy amongst students across the globe. We believe that this is such a large area of every student’s life that is glossed over in school curriculum.

WYIC strives to help students learn how to invest sustainably and build an intuition of successful investment practices. We want to be the platform where students from different walks of life can collaborate and come together with a shared passion.

The conference is conducted fully online allowing students and schools from anywhere around the world to participate.
The 2023-2024 season of the World Youth Investment Conference is ending on June 24th, 2024. However, the team intends to continue to host a second season during the 2024-2025 school year with the aim to reach a wider audience of young financial enthusiasts and promote financial literacy worldwide.
